A Corny Post

“We got a saying around here about our corn, it grows knee-high by the Fourth of July” 

Yes indeed, the sweet juicy corn was knee high by the 4th of July.  Now, it's high as an elephants eye! 

Having impromptu gatherings is always great fun, especially in the summertime when we can eat outdoors and eat corn till it comes out of our ears. 

I especially love corn season.  Corn roasted on the grill is very tasty.  I think what I truly love is using my vintage Shawnee Corn King Pottery.

We've collected it for years and I have so many fun pieces.
