Hello Birdies

The past couple of weeks I've watched and kept guard over a mama robin.  She was busy building a nest.  Through all sorts of wicked wind and rain storms, the nest survived.  I was so excited one day to see pretty blue eggs.

A few days ago, I had another peek while mama bird was away.  

Babies!  Baby birdies.  It will be fun keeping an eye on them, watching them grow and then fly away.

Elsewhere around the yard there are small smatterings of color. It will be a bit yet before the peonys and clematis bloom.  Being a very impatient gardener, I've placed baskets of geraniums around to brighten my days.
