~Sigh~

While I was plunked on the sofa last night, watching bad TV, I heard a sound........

I heard pitter patter on the roof.

I jumped to my feet, I knew it could not be eight tiny reindeer.....too soon for that.

I rushed to the door, turned on the yard lights and flung myself onto the patio.

Could it be????   

RAIN!

It's eluded us for soooooooooo long.

I sat under cover, enjoying the cool, crisp air, listening to the rain gently fall.

 I swear I could see the flowers dancing and hear the grass, what's left of it, singing.

I think I even heard all the animals, nestled in for the night, take a deep sigh of relief.

All is well in heidiland.....the rain has finally come.
